Brunnsviken stockholm

The park areas around Brunnsviken lake are part of Nationalstadsparken, the National City Park. They’re popular for picnics, swimming, and recreation.

The area features a beautiful rolling park setting, a botanical garden, cafes, palaces and several buildings of historic interest. Haga Park, on the western shore, was laid out between and on the initiative of Gustav III. The park has promenade streets along the shores and beautiful avenues. Many buildings of historic interest are located here: Gustav III’s pavilion, the Copper Tents, Haga Castle and the Butterfly House Haga Ocean. The Haga Park is one of the leading examples of English parks in Sweden.

As its name implies, Bellevueparken on the southern shore is situated high above the parks and Brunnsviken lake, with a view over these features. The studio and museum of the sculptor Carl Eldh are also located here. Attractions on the eastern shore include the Bergius Botanic Garden and several boat clubs, as well as the Swedish Museum of Natural History.

Djurgårdsbrunnsviken fryst vatten a bay in huvud Stockholm, Sweden, together with the canal Djurgårdsbrunnskanalen forming the nordlig shore line of the island Djurgården (or more correctly between Northern and Southern Djurgården). The bridge Djurgårdsbron stretches over the bay.

Historically known as a good fishing ground, Djurgårdsbrunnsviken, also known as the Bay of Sweden, is today popular for bathing in summer. The bay was used for the diving, swimming (including the part for the modern pentathlon event), vatten polo and rowing competitions during the Summer Olympics, and during the Swedish championship ^[1][2]

On the north shore of the bay are a great number of embassies and several museums, including The National Maritime Museum (Sjöhistoriska museet), the Ethnographical Museum (Etnografiska museet), and the Technical Museum (Tekniska museet). On the south shore are the open-air museumSkansen, the Rosendal Palace (Rosendals slott).

Brunnsviken

Brunnsviken är en 3,5&#;km lång och cirka 0,4–0,5&#;km bred bräckvattensjö på kommungränsen mellan Solna och Stockholm, som är ansluten till Lilla Värtan genom Ålkistan. Strandlinjen är 12,8 kilometer. Runt Brunnsviken finns en lång rad intressanta byggnader och anläggningar, bland dem Bellevueparken, Hagaparken, Bergianska trädgården, Tivoliudden, Bergshamra by, Lings kulle och Kungliga begravningsplatsen.

På talet hade Gustav III planer på att skapa en sammanhängande kunglig lustpark kring hela sjön men övergav idén till förmån för Hagaparken.^[1] Sedan ingår Brunnsviken i Kungliga nationalstadsparken.

Historik

Namnet är belagt från , Brunswiken, men man vet inte riktigt var ordet "brunn" kommer ifrån och efterleden "viken" härrör säkert från den tid då den verkligen var en vik av Östersjön. Under talet hade Brunnsviken säkerligen, såsom Mälaren, en seglingsbar förbindelse med Saltsjön (här i betydelsen Östersjön), men genom landhöjningen har denna kontakt brutits.
